A meal at pizzeria O’ver, Southwark

A meal at pizzeria O’ver, Southwark

Blink and you’ll miss it! Indeed, I had to ask a friend to explain where O’ver was, as even driving past each afternoon, I had not even noticed this new, bright and a little anonymous pizzeria that opened less than two months ago on Southwark Street.  Combining the very best regional ingredients with traditional recipes, ‘O ver is the first restaurant in the UK to use the unique ingredient of Pure Sea Water. Living near Waterloo, pizza and ice cream is…

Mercato Metropolitano opens its doors in SE1

Mercato Metropolitano opens its doors in SE1

Based around the values of craftsmanship, sustainability, urban renewal, good honest artisan food and real passion, Mercato Metropolitano is set to be the choice destination for discerning food lovers all over the capital this summer. Gluten free Lentil gnocchi ʼal tricoloreʼ

Gluten free Lentil gnocchi ʼal tricoloreʼ

Recently I came across a vegan and vegetarian recipe on the Identita’ Golose website, which really caught my eye. Gnocchi made with lentils, which I found interesting and decided to try out. Grana Padano at Taste of London 2016 – Danilo Cortellini’s Masterclass

I was invited yet again to volunteer for Action Against Hunger at Taste London this year; initially I accepted but then I found out that MasterChef the Professional finalist and all around nice guy Danilo Cortellini was hosting cooking masterclasses with Grana Padano, which, in all honesty, was a much more attractive way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Before the masterclass (we had booked the afternoon session) myself and my friend Camilla browsed the festival, happy that the weather seemed…

Chef’s Table with Danilo Cortellini

Chef’s Table with Danilo Cortellini

Since watching the latest MasterChef the Professional last November and pining for Danilo Cortellini I had been hoping to try his food at some point. In fact, as he is the Head Chef at the Italian Embassy in London, it is privilege of our ambassador to eat his food every day, but kind of difficult for everyone else. When I met Danilo a couple of months back, he mentioned he was planning a series of pop ups and it is at one…
